French-born Chef Vlad has an impeccable culinary background, having developed his love of cooking at two of the most famous restaurants in Paris (both owned by his family), the esteemed Café de Flore in St Germain de Pres, and Closerie des Lilas in Montparnasse.

At TEMBO, working closely with suppliers of ethical, top-quality products, he creates dishes that showcase the skills he has acquired on his travels from West to East, using the abundance of fresh seafood, fish, fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices available in Samui.

Our signature restaurant is chic and casual with a mellow laid-back vibe, comfy plantation-style chairs and plenty of overhead fans to keep cool..

Here, guests are taken on an exciting culinary journey that champions bold, colourful bites as well as subtle, delicate flavours…. a creative spin on vibrant cuisine using top class produce – fresh fish caught locally the same morning, jet-fresh oysters, premium-grade meat cuts and organic, free-range eggs.

Vegetables are also a key element of TEMBO cuisine. Choose from a colourful selection of vegetarian and plant-based vegan dishes.

To complement your meal, a reasonably priced, customized selection of reds, whites and rosés from around the world offers plenty of affordable vino options.

Our Bar
Whether you are a rosé-sipping devotee, appreciate seriously good cocktails, a G&T aficionado or simply fancy an ice-cold beer, your favourite tipple is waiting at the plantation-style bar, with softly humming ceiling fans and elegant, colonial-style décor, making it the perfect retreat from the hot sun. Order tapas, a variety of afternoon teas, cocktails infused with the holiday spirit, an ice-cold beer, a Moroccan mint tea, a delicate Earl Grey or a great coffee, hot or cold, your choice.

Terrace & Cabanas
Sun worshippers can chill out on an oversized sunbed or lounge on one of two beachside cabanas with big comfortable cushions. Beach eats are available to accompany delectable cocktails or chilled rosé wine. Those who prefer to enjoy a drink in the water can enjoy the swim-up bar, where they can get wet inside and out!

The experience begins on arrival with a herbal tea after which, you will be escorted to one of three treatment rooms, where, after changing into a robe or sarong, you will enjoy a soothing foot scrub ritual before starting your treatment.

Shoppers can find gorgeous, affordable beach and swimwear in sizes XS-XXL for women, men and children as well as jewellery and accessories, The shop also sells certain TEMBO branded items that guests can find in and around the resort.

Homeware & Gifts
Our colourful selection of homeware includes baskets and candles, cushion covers and beach towels, wooden beach décor and bath rails, and many other unusual items. There are plentiful small affordable quirky gifts.

Art
We love art. It makes us happy. To kickstart our passion for displaying local talent, we have curated a special collection of prints from renowned local photographer, Lesley Fisher, who has worked widely throughout the world capturing iconic images of people, landscapes and animals.

Guests can order from Lesley’s ‘look book’ and download print and frame-ready images when they get home. Framing options are displayed on the walls.

A percentage of the profits is donated to Save Elephant Foundation which supports the ongoing welfare of elephants in SE Asia.
